The President of the Lombardy Region says the Cologne Sciesopoli is a place of memory to be preserved and is committed to its preservation

“My presence here demonstrates the interest of the Lombardy Region to preserve the memory of Sciesopoli. I am interested to make the contribution of the Lombardy Region to recover this place of memory and bring it back to life. I want to understand what the project is behind, I want to understand if there is a real will to all institutions to respect and what you want to do in this place of memory. I’m here to hear and then decide what to do.”
This was explained by the Maroni, President of the Lombardy Region, speaking at the round table “Children of Selvino – History of Cologne Alpine”, at the City of Selvino (Bg).
TARGET A PROJECT FOR DO STARTING AGAIN TO LIVE SCIESOPOLI
“In January – added the governor of Lombardy – I met Professor Marco Cavallarin and Dr. Daniele Cohen of the organizing committee for Sciesopoli and to them I anticipated the availability of the region to contribute to the recovery of Sciesopoli. Here you have passed 800 children survived the concentration camp, this place of memory must be recovered and brought back to life. If there is a project, a destination, an interest, the Lombardy Region is: we do all the things you need, we’ll for good. You have to find the resources to fix it and recover it, for this you need a project to make it live and prize.
NEED PROGRAM AGREEMENT
“For this is a priority – added the governor – define a project to recover this place of memory and let it live and enhance it. DELIVERED PETITION
At the end of the round table was delivered to the President of the Lombardy Region ‘Petition on Colony Selvino’, which so far has already collected nearly 6,000 signatures, aimed at identifying a significant project to recover Sciesopoli and turn it into a memorial.
