Dear friends of Selvino,
In this difficult time for Italy but also for Israel, the Children of Selvino cannot and do not want to forget the place that hosted them after the Shoah and above all the inhabitants of the small town of Selvino, between Val Seriana and Val Brembana, which they welcomed them with great generosity and contributed to their return to life.
The Children of Selvino and their families intended to return soon to Selvino for a new meeting, to remember those unforgettable months spent in Sciesopoli; unfortunately the meeting was postponed due to the Coronavirus emergency.
Then we send you a short video with the messages and testimonies of the children and their families to convey their closeness to the Selvinesi.
We also want to show our friendship in a concrete way. In these days the Children of Selvino are concluding a fundraiser in support of the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo.

Dear,
the past few weeks have seen ASST engaged with all its operators in a huge effort to deal with the Coronavirus emergency.
In those days of intense work by all professionals in the health area (engaged in the reception, assistance and care of patients who accessed its hospital facilities) and all other professionals (engaged in preparing new wards, in purchasing equipment and protective devices, in recruiting staff, in transporting medicines and medical devices) we felt the whole Bergamo community and not only nearby.
This closeness was manifested by concrete gestures of help that we appreciated and that gave us a lot of energy.
In particular, we were touched by your words of sincere affection addressed to the population of Selvino on behalf of the Children of Selvino Association and your encouragement to the entire population of Bergamo, a sign of great sensibility.
We also very much appreciated the fundraising initiative promoted by the Children of Selvino Association and the donation that was made, confirming the desire to participate in this collective effort to protect the health of the population in such a difficult moment.
On behalf of the whole company, I therefore warmly thank the Association and all those who responded to its appeal in favor of ASST, for expressing their solidarity in one of the most dramatic health emergencies in the entire country.
