Shmuel Milchman (1929-2016), one of the “Children of Selvino”, past to the death camps of Auschwitz–Birkenau, Mauthausen and Ebensee, then became typographer, passed away October 9, 2015.
With her daughter Cheli Garty, he wrote a book in Hebrew on his life, long 86 years, Poland up in Israel.
It is titled “The boy from there, memories of light and shadow of Shmuel Milchman“.
An entire chapter narrates his life in Selvino. A good story to make known.
The chapter is called “The childhood back“, and has been translated into Italian to allow the Italian public to read and know the beautiful story of Selvino.
The boy from there, the child who survived the ghetto and the camps and became an Israeli man, whose roots are deeply intertwined with the history of Israel:

The boy from there, whose childhood was full of sadness and pain, but whose soul was colorful, positive and happy, remained unscathed.
On Shmuel Milchman’s face there is a perpetual smile. World reflected in his eyes is rich in colors and vivid.
From Shmuel’s unique perspective spans his life story in this book, and gives us a fresh reflection fulfilled with a variety of tints.
